Permanent Medication Disposal Site in Norfolk

Citizens looking to dispose of excess and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications can visit the permanent drop-off location at the Norfolk Police Department.   Medications can be conveniently dropped off in the lobby of the Norfolk Police Department (202 N. 7th St.) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Syringes (sharps) and certain other items that are not accepted are listed on the MedReturn Drug Collection Unit.

 The MedReturn Drug Collection unit is a project of the Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) coalition which is a substance abuse prevention coalition that serves Burt, Cuming, Madison and Stanton Counties.  Funding for the MedReturn Drug Collection Unit wass provided by Drug Free Communities grant funds.
