Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department provides contract school nursing services to select schools in our district. Our public health nurses provide the following services:
- Immunization record review
- Student health screenings
- Emergency action plans for students with asthma, diabetes or severe allergies
- Puberty presentations for 4th grade girls and 5th & 6th grade boys and girls
- Staff education on Epi-pens and AED operation
- Medication assistant training for staff
Additional services provided:
- CPR / first aid training for staff
- Diabetic monitoring
- Other health related training as requested/needed
