Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is pleased to announce that Tai Chi classes are set to begin in September. Tai Chi is a form of exercise that assists with flexibility and balance. It puts minimal stress on joints, is generally safe for people of all ages, and is especially beneficial for those sixty years of age or older. Outcomes from past classes show that 85% of the participants improved their Timed Up and Go (TUG) mobility and fall risk test score from the first to the final class.
We invite you to take part in the upcoming classes:
New Beginners Class starts on 9/21/15 and will be held every Monday & Thursday from 9:00am – 9:45am at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk (406 W. Phillip Ave.).
Intermediate Evening Class starts on 9/14/15 and will be held every Monday & Wednesday from 4:00pm – 4:45pm at the Norfolk Senior Center (307 Prospect Ave.).
Intermediate Morning Class starts on 9/22/15 and will be held every Tuesday & Friday from 9:00am – 9:45pm at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk (406 W. Phillip Ave.).
