West Point Immunization Clinic by Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health

Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department (ELVPHD) will hold the West Point Vaccines for Children (VFC) Immunization clinic at the Cuming County Court House Meeting Room located at 200 S. Lincoln St. West Point, NE.  The immunization clinic will be held April 20th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 pm. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call ELVPHD at (402) 529-2233.

ELVPHD’s immunization program provides childhood immunizations to VFC eligible children as well as for private pay and most insurances.  Immunizations are needed for infants at ages 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12-15 months & 18 months. For school-aged children, immunizations are needed prior to entry into kindergarten (ages 4-6 years) and prior to entry into 7th grade (11-13 years).  

Each child should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.   A current copy of the child’s past immunization records are required at each visit.  A proxy form is needed when a parent or legal guardian is unable to attend the clinic with the child.  All clinic forms may be obtained by visiting www.elvphd.org or calling the ELVPHD at (402) 529-2233.  The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department VFC Immunization Program is supported in part by Federal Immunization Program Funds awarded to ELVPHD by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.continue reading


Norfolk Immunization Clinic at Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health

Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department (ELVPHD) will hold the Norfolk Vaccines for Children (VFC) Immunization clinic at 302 W. Phillip Ave.  The immunization clinic will be held the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and the 4th Wednesday of each month from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Tai Chi Classes Beginning April 2017 in West Point

Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is pleased to announce that Tai Chi classes are set to begin Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Sunshine Center in West Point.  Tai Chi is a form of exercise that assists with flexibility and balance.  It puts minimal stress on joints, is generally safe for people of all ages, and is especially beneficial for those sixty years of age or older.  Outcomes from past classes show that 85% of the participants improved their Timed Up and Go (TUG) mobility and fall risk test score from the first to the final class.

We invite you to take part in the upcoming Tai Chi class series that will begin on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Class will be held every Tuesday & Thursday for 12 weeks (through 6/22/17) from 9:00am – 10:00am at the Sunshine Center, West Point.  Kristie Steffen will be the instructor and the classes are $3 per class date attended (24 total classes available).

Main St. Madison, NE.  The immunization clinic will be held March 6th from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call ELVPHD at (402) 529-2233.
