Community blood work days scheduled for February

February is Heart month

Don’t miss this chance to take advantage of a convenient opportunity to know your numbers! Your heart matters. Knowing your numbers is important, it could save your life. It is also important to have regular routine wellness exams. Start the new year off with health as a priority and schedule your annual physical today with your health care provider.

The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department’s Operation Heart to Heart is providing health screenings for people living in Burt, Cuming, Madison & Stanton counties.  

When:           

February 5th       8:00-11:00 a.m. Wisner office- 2104 21st Circle 

February 11th     8:00-11:00 a.m. Norfolk office- 302 W. Phillip Suite 100 (South end of Midtown Health Center)

February 19th     8:00-11:00 a.m. Wisner office

February 25th     8:00-11:00 a.m. Norfolk office

A screening consists of measuring blood pressure, weight, body mass index, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose. Results are available within minutes. Fasting 8-12 hours prior to the screening is recommended. Water is encouraged. A blood sample is taken from a finger poke.

*Note: Please bring your insurance card. We accept most insurance and will process it through your insurance company. Most insurance companies cover the cost of screenings under preventative services with no co-pay. Without insurance the cost for this service is $39.00. We accept cash or check.

Health & Lifestyle Coaching

We also offer one-on-one health and lifestyle coaching with a nurse that meets with you in the convenience of your own home or place of employment, making it easy for you to set goals and improve your health.
