One in four older adults has a fall each year according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Falls are not a normal part of aging and can be prevented. Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health will be hosting a Stepping On Fall Prevention series beginning February 9th, at 9:00 am at the Pilger Senior Center. This class will meet each Friday for 7 weeks.
Stepping On is a fun and interactive series that gives participants strategies for avoiding falls including balance and strength exercises, home safety checklist discussions, medication review and more. This class series is designed for people who are age 60 or older to help prevent costly and dangerous falls.
