Disease Tracking
Disease prevention and follow-up is a key service provided by Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department. Our Public Health Nurses work with the hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and schools in our service area to recommend treatment guidelines for communicable diseases and contain outbreaks. Our nurses also follow up directly with patients and families to try to ensure a healthy outcome and to stop the spread of infectious disease.
Health care facilities needing to inform us of a reportable condition may call (402)529-2233 or after hours at our on-call number (402)841-8110.
Immunizations/Vaccines
One important way that people can protect themselves is by being up-to-date on all recommended immunizations. We offer vaccine services such as influenza (flu), childhood and adult immunizations at businesses as well as at scheduled community immunization clinics in our service area. Please see our Immunizations & Vaccines page to review the vaccines offer, insurance companies accepted and payment options and the schedule.
