Immunizations & Vaccines

Private Immunizations (Children and Adults)

To help keep you and your family healthy, ELVPHD provides all recommended vaccines for children, teens and adults. The majority of vaccines provided are covered by insurance without requirement of a copay or co-insurance to meet your deductible. However, all people interested in receiving vaccines should check the immunization coverage allowed with their specific insurance plan. For those who are uninsured or underinsured, we also provide the Vaccines for Children program and Adult Immunization program (eligibility requirements apply).

Vaccinations offered include:

  • Covid-19
  • DTaP
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hib
  • HPV
  • Flu
  • Meningococcal
  • Meningococcal - Group B
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Pneumococcal (Prevnar 13 and PPSV23)
  • Polio
  • Rotavirus
  • Tdap/Td
  • Shingrix (Shingles)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Travel vaccines such as: Typhim, Japanese Encephalitis and Yellow Fever (please plan ahead for travel vaccines as these may have to be special ordered)

There must be a parent or guardian accompanying the child to receive immunizations.  A current copy of the immunization record(s) and health insurance card (if applicable) is needed.   If someone else brings the child to clinic they must have a completed proxy form and health questionnaire filled out and signed by the parent.

Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program

The Vaccines for Children program is a federally funded program to help provide important immunizations to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. To qualify a child must be 18 years of age or under and enrolled in Heritage Health / Medicaid, uninsured, under-insured*, American Indian or Alaska native. A donation of $19.50 per immunization is requested. Appointments are required by calling 402-529-2233.

Our immunization clinic is open to the public and there are no income guidelines. A Licensed Nurse administers the vaccinations and a Physician is on-call during clinic hours.

Adult Immunizations 

To help keep you and your family healthy, ELVPHD provides many vaccines for individuals of all ages including adults.   ELVPHD recognizes that you never outgrow your need for vaccines.   The specific immunizations you need as an adult depend on a variety of factors including your age, previous immunization history, high-risk conditions, and travel.   The majority of vaccines ELVPHD offers are covered by insurance as preventative medicine without requirement of a copay or co-insurance to meet your deductible. However, all individuals interested in receiving vaccines should check the immunization coverage allowed with their specific insurance plan. In addition, ELVPHD also has the Adult Immunization Program for adults without insurance in which select adult vaccines are available without charge. Appointments are required by calling 402-529-2233.

Adult Vaccines Offered include:

  • Covid-19
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria with Pertussis)
  • Hepatitis A vaccine
  • Hepatitis B vaccine
  • Pneumococcal vaccines (PCV13, P20 & PPV23)
  • Shingrix (Shingles vaccine) – please check with your insurance provider on coverage for this vaccine.
  • Flu vaccine
  • High-dose flu vaccine (age 65 and older)
  • Travel Vaccines (Yellow Fever, Typhim, Japanese Encephalitis) - please plan ahead for travel vaccines as some may need to be special ordered.

Adolescent Vaccines

Students entering 7th Grade are required to received a Tdap booster. But, did you know that teens are also eligible to begin the Meningitis and HPV series vaccines? These vaccines are safe, effective and recommended! 

Please see the following fact sheets for important information about the Meningitis and HPV vaccines for preteen and teens. To schedule your child to receive the required Tdap and/or the recommended meningitis or HPV vaccines, please call our office at 402-529-2233 (we have vaccine clinic locations in Norfolk, Wisner and Tekamah).
