Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is offering a 16 week class on Diabetes Prevention.
After the 16 week course is completed there will be 6 post sessions, once a month for follow up.

To be eligible for the class participants will need to:
1. Have a doctor’s referral along with having an A1C test
completed OR
2. Complete the eligibility screening form or call ELVPHD at 402-529-2233.
3. Be 18 years or older.
4. Have a BMI higher than 24.
Benefits:
Participants will lose 5–7% of their body fat throughout the class.
Provide a support system to meet the goals of living a healthier lifestyle.
Express the importance of physical activity for 150 minutes a week and implement weekly exercise goals.
Implement a technique to help encourage the consumption of more fruits and vegetables.
