Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is pleased to announce that Tai Chi classes are set to begin September 26that Home Instead Senior Care in Norfolk. Tai Chi is a form of exercise that assists with flexibility and balance. It puts minimal stress on joints, is generally safe for people of all ages, and is especially beneficial for those sixty years of age or older. Outcomes from past classes show that 85% of the participants improved their Timed Up and Go (TUG) mobility and fall risk test score from the first to the final class.
We invite you to take part in the upcoming Tai Chi class series that will begin on Monday, September 26, 2016. Class will be held every Monday& Thursday for 12 weeks from 8:00am – 9:00am at Midwest Futures (1800 W. Pasewalk Ave. Norfolk). Janie Uhlir and Jennifer Vavra of Home Instead Senior Care will be the lead instructors for the class.
