Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department has released
their calendar year 2016 Annual Report to the Public. The annual report
highlights outcomes from programs and services provided by ELVPHD. The public is invited to view the health
department’s 2016 annual report by visiting their website at www.elvphd.org or calling 402-529-2233 to
request a printed copy.
According to Gina Uhing, ELVPHD Health Director, “Even though
there are several achievements for which we are proud, there are some
enhancements that we are hoping to make in the upcoming year—many around policy
development opportunities and further partnership building in our service area.
Ultimately, our goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective delivery of
public health for our constituents.”
ELVPHD began in 2002 and serves Burt, Cuming, Madison and
Stanton counties. The health department
employs 14 people and oversees a wide range of programs and services including
emergency preparedness, disease tracking, chronic disease prevention and safety
programs. ELVPHD has a primary office in Wisner and satellite offices in
Norfolk and Tekamah.
