Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department (ELVPHD) is excited to announce that a new Stepping On class series will begin on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019, at 2pm. This class is open to the public and will meet each Tuesday for 7 weeks. Class location will be Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health / Midtown Health Center conference room at 302 W. Phillip Ave. in Norfolk. Stepping On is an evidence-based program, and studies have shown that the fall rate among Stepping On participants was reduced about 30 percent compared with those who did not participate in the program. Class topics will include: vision, outdoor safety, footwear, medication, home safety, mobility aids, balance and exercise. In addition to the program facilitator, guest experts will lead some sessions. There is no cost for the class but a free will donation will be accepted.
