Health Department is pleased to announce that Tai Chi classes are set to begin
July 12th, 2016, at the Golden Oaks Senior Center in Oakland. Tai Chi is a form of exercise
that assists with flexibility and balance.
It puts minimal stress on joints, is generally safe for people of all
ages, and is especially beneficial for those sixty years of age or older.
Outcomes from past classes show that 85% of the participants improved their
Timed Up and Go (TUG) mobility and fall risk test score from the first to the
final class.
We invite you to take part in the upcoming beginners class that starts on Tuesday,
July 12th, 2016. Class will
be held every Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00am – 11:00am at the Golden Oaks
Senior Center in Oakland (406 N. Oakland Ave.) for 12 weeks.
