On October 29th and 30th, Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department’s Operation Heart to Heart program, along with Franciscan Care Services and Faith Regional Health Services, welcomed Dr. Ann Kulze to West Point and Norfolk.  Dr. Ann presented “Being Good to Your Heart”, which focused on eating healthy, physical activity, and adopting a healthier lifestyle.  These events attracted over 300 people and included a free heart healthy dinner and presentation.

HCI has been awarded a $125,000 grant from Drug Free Communities for 2014-2015

Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) is pleased to tell it has been awarded a $125,000 grant from Drug Free Communities for 2014-2015.  This is the fourth year that HCI has received the DFC grant for a total to date of $500,000. Also, HCI has obtained over $125,000 of non-governmental match of in-kind services for each of the prior years under the DFC Grant.
